The next evolution of the military's service pistol, the Sig Sauer M18X is the compact (shorter 3.6" barrel length) "officer's model" of the M17 handgun, the official pistol of the US Military. These pistols are built on Sig Sauer's modular striker-fire P320 handgun platform. The new X-series of the M17/M18 have changed the grip module to Sig's updated X-series grip modules with a higher trigger guard relief cut, larger beavertail, and added single finger groove. The standard grip module size is the X-Carry (full-length grip, mid-size dust cover) with a medium grip width. The new X-series M17X/M18X also have removed the thumb safety as was standard on original M-series P320 pistols. The new X-series pistols are fitted with Sig Sauer's 90-degree break angle flat-face trigger for a crisper and more tactile trigger break and reset. The M17X/M18X pistols also come from the factory with an added oversized magwell for effortless reloads and the slides have been updated with Sig's new Sig-Loc optic footprint. The pistol comes equipped with Sig's newest miniature enclosed red dot pistol optic, the Romeo-M17—an optic designed specifically with military use in mind. The optic has a red-illuminated reticle, with three different user-selectable reticle designs programmed into the emitter. The optic also has the rear backup iron sights attached to the optic. The backup irons are comprised of Siglite tritium night sights with 3-dot tritium inserts and a white-outlined front sight. Another unique feature of the M17X and M18X pistols are that the removable serialized Firing Control Unit (FCU) and pistol slides feature special markings with military part identifications—a cosmetic feature not included on other commercial P320 pistols. The barrels and slides are also designed to feature a loaded chamber indicator which pops up behind the barrel hood when loaded. This M18X is in lightly-used condition and comes as it did from the factory, with an added Streamlight TLR-7X weaponlight attached. The gun comes with three Sig Sauer 21-round extended magazines and the Romeo-M17 optic installed on the gun. The standard factory cable lock is also included in the original plastic hard case. 9mm Luger
