Browning Olympian bolt action rifle, chambered in .243 Winchester on the highly sought-after long extractor Mauser action.
The Best-of the-Best Belgium Browning bolt action rifle line was the fabulous Olympian. From the coin finished, master engraved action, floor plate and trigger guard to the impeccable Olympian stock with fine checkering and intricately carved borders the Olympian was instantly identified and still admired.
The action engraving was executed by none other than Browning master engraver Jose Baerten and the bottom metal engraved by well-known Browning engraver Rene DeWil. The metal is in impeccable original condition.
The bluing on the 22” pencil barrel is 99%+.
The stock has one small “ding” on the right side of the stock, visible right under the ejector port. Otherwise the stock finish, checkering, carving are perfect.
The action looks like it did the day it was made..perfect. Even the bolt face is unmarked making this rifle appear unfired.
This is a true collector quality, scarce configured Olympian .243, made 64 years ago in 1961. Comes with the original box and instructions.
