- Offered here for sale is a classic Remington Model 870 12 GA Express Magnum shogun which mas made circa 1997–2000You mentioned it’s seen light use and features a 26″ barrel—a common length for hunting guns. With the Magnum receiver and a longer barrel, it’s suitable for 3″ Magnum shells and gives a nice balance of barrel length for both slug and bird loads. In addition it comes with a mounted fine Leupold M8-2.5x20MM rifle scope, an addition which is non-standard but practical modification. Many hunters do this to improve slug accuracy or for specialty hunting setups. Leupold scopes are high-quality, and pairing one with ythis 870 enhances its versatility.
