LAYAWAY??? ...This is a second model that has seen little, IF ANY use. Carbine features the octagon to round blued barrel, dovetailed front sight, two leaf folding rear sight, case color frame with Maynard patent legend on left side and Mass. Arms legend on right side. Hammer, trigger and screws are fire blue. Left side of barrel has the GWS inspector stamp for George W. Sherman. Left side of stock has cartouche stamp JM for James Mills. Butt plate has an S sub inspector stamp. Saddle ring and bar on left side.
CONDITION: Excellent./MINTY The frame retains at least 40% case colors with balance patterned out. Screw heads are mostly true and retain majority of fire blue finish as does the hammer and trigger. The barrel retains virtually all its blue finish with minute handling marks. The wood is superb with just some minor impressions. Butt plate has silvered out but all the fire blue on screw head.
