Westley Richards drop lock 12 gauge. Made in 1912, serial 9137 has 28-inch barrels (IC/M, 2.75-inch, ejectors, resleeved by Rigby London for steel shot). Features include a scalloped boxlock action, automatic safety, single trigger, selector and a straight stock with checkered butt. DIMENSIONS: Weight (with sleeved barrels) is 6.8 pounds. Length-of-pull is 14.3 inches, drops are 1.7 and 2.2 inches, and cast off is approximately .40-inch. CONDITION: Bores and chambers are strong and bright. Barrels are on face. Ejectors pop with purpose and mechanics are solid. As restored, barrel blue is at least 95 percent. Engraving is tack sharp. Colors are approximately 40 percent. Wood is approximately 85 percent, the majority of adjustment owing to impressions on butt left. SECOND BARREL SET: Serialed, 28 inches, F/F, 2.75-inch, ejectors, bright bores, on face, restored finish shows at approximately 90 percent. PROVENANCE: A history letter, ledger sheet copies and Authentication Certificate are included. The price is firm and layaway is available. $7,000 plus shipping.
