The PSA JAKL is a rugged, monolithic upper rifle system chambered in .223 Remington / 5.56 NATO, designed as a modern, heavy-duty alternative to the traditional AR-15. Built around a long-stroke gas piston system (inspired by the AK-47 and SCAR platforms), the JAKL offers enhanced reliability, cleaner operation, and suppressed-friendly performance in a fully ambidextrous layout.
The heart of the JAKL is its monolithic 7075 aluminum upper receiver, which integrates the handguard and rail into a single, rigid unit. This not only increases durability and accuracy consistency, but also allows for a full-length monolithic Picatinny top rail and M-LOK attachment points for optics, lights, and accessories. The rifle uses a non-reciprocating side charging handle that can be swapped for left- or right-hand operation.
Its monolithic upper houses a cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel, and its fully ambidextrous lower (compatible with standard AR fire control groups) makes the JAKL versatile and user-friendly for both right- and left-handed shooters.
