Payment Types Accepted: Description: The Ruger Blackhawk revolver was a descendant of the Ruger Single-Six revolver, which was developed in 1953 after Colt discontinued the Single Action Army, leaving behind a gap in Western cowboy-style revolvers. The Blackhawk arrived in 1955 originally in .357 Magnum and soon chambered in .44 Remington Magnum as it arrived on the market, directly competing with the Smith & Wesson Model 29. In 1973, the New Model Blackhawk was introduced with a transfer bar safety mechanism and 1974 brought about the New Model Super Blackhawk. The Super Blackhawk was further beefed-up to take extremely high-pressure loads, even capable of handling loads that would typically be unsafe in lever-action rifles and double-action revolvers. This is thanks to replacing aluminum components with stainless steel and a non-fluted cylinder. This New Model Super Blackhawk can be traced back to a 1993 production year and is in very good condition with perfect timing and lockup and great condition of barrel and cylinder. The revolver is a single-action only revolver with transfer bar mechanism. The gun holds six rounds of .44 Magnum or .44 Special and has a 7 ½" barrel. The revolver has an adjustable rear sight with textured ramped front sight and walnut grips with silver Ruger medallions. The trigger guard is of the "dragoon-style" square rear shape and the hammer is a wide spur target style. The grips do have some chips in the wood, but are otherwise in good condition. There is some light discoloration of the bluing above the cylinder on the left side of the frame. The barrel is in very good condition with no pitting or rust. This Ruger Super Blackhawk does not include a box or case. .44 Magnum Price: $849.99 Chambers: .44 Remington Magnum Metal Condition: Good Wood Condition: Fair Bore Condition: Good Barrels: 7 1/2 Triggers: Single-action only Butt Pad: Walnut grips with silver Ruger medallions Weight: 3 lbs.
