This gun is proof they just built them better back in the day. This is a super late 1950 post war transitional 38/44 HD with the long throw hammer, skinny ejector rod and harder to find 4" barrel. It's right on the edge of being a pre-20. The gun has all original finish with some really cool patina. Non-original diamond magna grips. Best part is the mechanics. This 75 yr old gun has perfect timing and lockup on each hole and ZERO cylinder end shake. Very smooth action for a long throw hammer. the gun also has a very strong bore. the frame, cylinder and barrel all have matching serial numbers.
