*NICE* EARLY "72-"73 1895 45-70 Gov't. 8 groove, cut rifling, 22" bbl. Bore is excellent. Rifle appears fired little. NO wear on loading gate. Straight grip stock with curved buttplate. Original Blueing is 98%. There is a some very light surface pitting present on the receiver, mostly on port side. Original Wood finish 95% showing some light handling marks. There was a small chip at toe of stock and buttplate when I acquired this rifle. I took sharp edge off and rounded toe of plate slightly. I have a replacement plate included which will require a little take down at toe as slightly long, otherwise good fit. Little wood chip would need filled also. A guy could also cut it slightly and install a pad, which for shooting much would be beneficial. Otherwise a really nice, clean early gun. $50.00 Shipping & Insurance to your FFL in the lower 47.
