This is a splendid looking, all-matching rifle that retains 97-98% of the original blue finish on the barrel, with some silvering at the muzzle, and the original armory bright finish on the receiver and matching bolt. The trigger, rear sight slider and spring, bolt stop, floorplate release and screw heads retain a commensurate amount of their original brilliant fire blue as well. The added bayonet rail has a mottled dark gray patina, while the matching cleaning rod is finished bright. All of the metal markings, including the Argentine crest, are crisp and clear. The stock rates fine, with some scattered handling marks and blemishes marring the original factory finish, especially some impact bruises on the right side just ahead of the rear sight, and the Argentine cartouches are crisp and clear. This is a fantastic example of a desirable, non-import marked, Argentine Model 1909 rifle, and rates excellent overall. FFL or C&R; Price: $1,295.00 Curio/Relic: Yes |
