A true example of Italian gunmaking artistry, this Abbiatico & Salvinelli Excalibur BLX 12 gauge over/under features 30" barrels, a detachable trigger group, and sideplates over a coin-finished action covered entirely in elegant rose and scroll engraving by master engraver Chiara L. of the Academia “Il Bulino.” Built in 2008, it remains in very good overall condition with only faint handling wear typical of light use. The action locks up tight, the trigger is crisp, and the ejectors are strong and perfectly timed. The blued barrels retain 98% of their original finish and are choked improved cylinder and modified. The walnut stock and forend are exhibition grade, showing beautiful dark grain patterns, fine checkering, and a checkered butt. It includes the original maker’s hard case, Italian proof house certificate, and spare firing pins and springs. A stunning and mechanically sound Italian sidelock-style sporting shotgun from one of the premier boutique makers.
