* 6-27-25 - SALE PENDING for Francis P. * This is another rifle that I am selling from my personal collection which was purchased here in Connecticut at a small Gun Shop/Range. I have never fired this rifle. Remington Factory Special Order Model 30 Express with Case Colored Scope Mounts and no provision for the rear open sight. Standard Model 30 Express front sight is intact. In addition the forend has a Black Forend Ebony tip as seen on some Remington Model 722 Rifles produced after the Model 30. There is a small ding on the forend tip. The butt plate is a unusual Remington tear drop style that I have seen on a few other Remington rifles of this era. In addition the gun is fitted with a period Lyman receiver sight.The blue is excellent rated about 94%. The wood is near excellent at 92% with a few scratches and minor dings.The hand checkering of Remington pattern is sharp and there are no cracks or extra holes. The grip cap has Reminton name.The sling swivals are factory Remington of this era as well. The bore is shiny and clean with superb rifling. The barrel is standard 22". The serial number is 14944.As stated previously this is not a made up rifle but a Special Order Factory gun showing some transition to the Remington Model 722/721. I will ship to a FFL or a C&R within the Continental US only. I will offer a three day No Fire Inspection from the time the package is delivered to your Dealers Address.
