Description: Extremely rare Weimar-era Simson & Co P08 Luger from the restricted Versailles Treaty production period, manufactured circa 1932-1934 with blank chamber typical of late production. Standard military configuration pistol with fixed front and rear sights and toggle action marked "SIMSON & Co./SUHL" on front toggle link. Right side of frame with standard acceptances to include Eagle/6 and Eagle/33, proof markings typical of Simson production. Distinctive dual Eagle/6 markings on bottom of stock lug when viewed from magazine well, unique identifying feature of authentic Simson production. Full serial number 9581 on major components with last two digits on small parts, all accompanied by small Eagle/6 acceptance proofs. Standard "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" safety and extractor markings. Manufactured during the limited Weimar period when Simson was the only company authorized to produce Lugers for the German army under Treaty restrictions before the company was nationalized by the Na*is in 1933. Standard military finish and fittings with original matching magazine of sheet metal crimped construction. Total production extremely limited to under 12,000 pistols between 1925-1934, making these significantly rarer than Krieghoff Lugers and highly sought after by collectors for their historical significance during Germany's restricted armament period.
