Lock dated "1864". Stock is stamped with two cartouches at the rear of the left flat. Civil War U.S. Contract Watertown Model 1861 Rifle-Musket
Condition:
Good with an overall mixed grey and brown patina, with some surface oxidation, and pitting. Wood is good with scattered wear and some pitting. Mechanically functions.
The bore is darkened and softened rifling.
