Description:
Very nice Colt Bisley Model in 38 W.C.F. (38-40) manufactured in 1904 with a 5 1/2" barrel. Bore is good with strong rifling and mild pitting in the grooves. Chambers very clean. Cylinder and barrel blue exhibit an even patina. Some residual case colors on hammer and trigger guard. Grips are very good with a very small chip out of the lower rear right grip against the frame. Mechanics are excellent with four distinct clicks. Cylinder lock up is tight. All lettering is sharp and crisp including top of barrel. Just a nice 1st Generation Bisley from the early smokeless powder era. One of just 12,613 Bisleys in 38-40 caliber. Housed in a reproduction box.
