This magnificent Ljutic is the result of years of planning, waiting and work. When Al Ljutic starting making stainless guns I knew I had to have one some day but would never buy another Trap gun without an adjustable rib and comb. An adjustable rib allows you to put the pattern where your style of shooting requires. Do you cover the bird or float it and how much. Plus remember your shooting style changes over time and years with many wanting a higher and higher pattern. Trying to adapt or learn how to shoot a fixed rib gun it crazy. Yes you can compensate somewhat with just an adjustable comb but then your bead/sight picture changes. Do you like a figure 8 bead or one behind the other or like to see the whole rib surface. You need both rib and comb adjustable to have the pattern and sight picture always the way you want it. So every year I would go to the Grand and ask Al Ljutic if he had come up with an adjustable rib yet. Finally one year he said he had one he was happy with so I placed an order. I then purchased a "Precision Fit" brand buttstock and with some epoxy putty I was able to mold the perfect grip and comb shape. Then I tried every recoil reduction system I could find and decided the "Lock Stock" from Shooters Emporium was the best because when you shoulder the gun it doesn't compress or squish into your shoulder. Mounting the gun feels normal. It releases when the shot goes off. Next was finding an incredible piece of wood because I am a wood connoisseur and spent $2000 on an incredible piece of walnut as you can see in the pictures. Then I had Shooters emporium make the stock off what I had done with the Precison Fit buttstock. The rib can be adjusted at any time by turning the numbered adjustment cylinder so if you are at a trap with high or low birds and you are not smokinig them you can make an adjustment. This is a precision instrument and may be the only one Ljutic ever made with this rib design. It also has a release trigger which was the best thing I ever did. It is in fantastic condition because I only shot league trap in the summer for a few years and then a few open rounds on sundays for a few years. I never got into competition shooting. There is faint scratch on the left side of the frame that is hard to see unless you get it in the correct light seen on one picture. Shooters Emporium did a fabulous job on the wood finish. I am 71 and haven't shot it in a few years but figure I need to start liquidating my hobbies. This is the crown jewel of my gun collection and a true labor of love.
