Description:
Lend-Lease with British proof "P" on slide. Later arsenal reworked and refinished likely for Korea or Vietnam. Barrel is near fine and bore is bright! Good markings and near fine grips. 94-98% military parkerized refinish remains. Condition is NRA Very Good.
An exceptionally fine condition WWII manufactured 1911A1 .45acp that went to England under Lend Lease - does not appear to have been issued - and then returned to the USA.  This Ithaca produced 1911A1 is top quality.  British proof plainly evident.  Apprears to be unfired since proof testing in the UK.
Description:
Standard configuration 1911A1 manufactured by Ithaca in 1944, the left side of the slide marked with the usual two-line Ithaca address. The model designation, SN, and U.S. Army markings are on the right side of the frame. Proofing includes the “P” on top of the slide and on the left frame below the magazine release, both barely breaking through the parkerized finish. The left side of the frame has the “FJA” inspection mark. It is fitted with blade and notch sights, serrated slide release, thumb safety, and hammer; short grip safety, and checkered Keyes Fiber grips with reinforcements around the screws.
Condition: Fantastic parkerized finish Comparable grips and magazine. Perfect manual mechanics. A high condition U.S. military classic that would fit any collection!

Cashiers check, money order or personal check accepted.
