Winchester Model 1897 - Slide Action Repeater Takedown 12 Ga. Shotgun - Smooth pistol grip style stock , grooved slide forend and butt plate. 5 round magazine. 28 In. long barrel with CYL . choke with front bead sight. Bore is clean and bright . Barrel and receiver are retaining approx. 90% bluing. Stock and slide forend are in excellent condition with some small nicks and scratches. This one has had very little use and is in exceptional condition. Includes a new soft sleeve. This John Browning design became famous in WW1 as a result of it's Slam - Fire capability. Over 1 million of various configurations have been sold . Manufactured from 1897 to 1957. This one was manufactured in 1928. Very nice addition to any collection.
