This 12 gauge shotgun is a Spanish 1974 Ignacio Ugartechea boxlock side-by-side shotgun with 27 ¾" barrels and 2 ¾" chambers. It features a double trigger, single-piece ejector, and a grooved and textured rib with its front bead unfortunately broken off. The barrels on this shotgun feature fixed chokes, with a full choke in the left barrel and modified in the right. The receiver features color case-hardening throughout and is somewhat intact. The light decorative engravings are clear and show little wear. The stock features an added vented rubber buttpad. The finish on the wood furniture has been redone, as some is on the action lever. The hardwoo stock is a straight English-style and has checkering on the grip. The forend is a splinter-style and also has checkering with a large carved diamond in the center. The barrels are in good condition, with no rust or pitting on the inside surfaces. The externals, however, do have shallow pitting throughout the whole length of the barrels. The barrels do not ring very well when struck, so the internal solders could be damaged a bit, but they do not seem to be in terrible condition. The receiver is in good condition with only finish wear. The stock and forend are in good structural condition, with no cracks visible. The finish has been redone but still shows wear with indents, scrapes, and scratches in various places throughout. This shotgun is in good condition and could be shootable with lighter loads. It would also make a great project gun to be refinished. This Ugartechea does not include a box or case. 12 Gauge
