Browning Model 1886 Lever Action Rifle 45-70
This Browning 1886 was manufactured in 1986 by Miroku. It is chambered in 45-70 and has a blue 26" full octagon barrel and full magazine tube. It has standard walnut stock, crescent butt plate and semi-buckhorn rear barrel sight.
Condition:
The condition of this rifle is excellent. The original blue finish on the metal is in pretty much 100% blue finish showing no apparent wear. The bore is in excellent condition as well, bright with minty strong rifling. The walnut stocks are also in excellent condition and exhibit no dings, dents, or scratches from use which isn't typical of rifles that are this age. This rifle comes with a matching box which is in fine condition as is the Styrofoam insert and Styrofoam wafer that covers the rifle. There are no papers that come with this rifle.
Apparently, this is another Browning 1886 rifle that was either never used or very lightly used. What is great about these Browning 1886 rifles made in 1986 is they do not have that horrid tang safety or the ridiculous rebounding hammer. I suppose a case can be made for them. But if you like traditional Winchester rifles and carbines with none of that nonsense and made in modern steel the Browning/Miroku are hard to beat.
