Description:
This beautiful pistol is from an estate of a firearm collector who purchased VG & Exc. Condition firearms, stored them in a safe, and never fired them. Available for sale is a presentation grade Sig JP226 in 9mm.
This Swiss beauty was manufactured in 1985, and a testament to the legendary Sig Sauer quality. The pistol appears to be in unfired condition.
It shows no notable wear or dings on either the outer blue finish of the slide and frame, or the beautiful engraved floral stippling pattern on the walnut grips.
All Matching serial numbers of JP 2814 are clearly visible on the Frame, Slide and barrel.
The black metal finish is contrasted nicely with the gold highlighted lettering and gold plated trigger, hammer, and other small parts like mag release, de-cocker, etc. Sig magazine is a 15+1 round capacity. The action is DA/SA with a 4.4” barrel that looks brand new and mirror shiny.
The overall condition of this pistol looks like it was rarely removed from the custom “SIG” leather bound hard case and handled.
Pistol was likely only fired during factory testing.
Engraved on Brass Plate inside the Leather Bound Hard Case: “125 Jahre, SIG Waffenfabrik”-- “SIG 1860-1985”. Some of these “125 Jahre” issue pistols come in a wood case, but this one happens to be in a Brown Leather bound Hard Case with SIG Logo on top and a combination lock.
Some of the suede leather inside box has light oil stain from being stored the last 40 years.
