Harrington and Richardson Armory Model U.S. Rifle M1 Garand is a right-hand semi-auto U.S. Military rifle in .30-06 Springfield. It has a 24-inch barrel. A blade front sight with protective sides and an adjustable aperture rear sight. The butt stock is a smooth hardwood pistol grip. The forearm is smooth two-piece hardwood. S A Barrel dated 7 52. The rifle was manufactured in 1953. Fine as arsenal refurbished, with minor edge wear, and mild handling marks. The stock is very good as sanded and varnished with scattered scratches and dents. Mechanically excellent. The bore is shiny with very little wear. The Garand was the service rifle of the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War. It remained in service with the Army Reserve, Army National Guard, and the Navy into the early .30-06 Springfield
