Description:
Serial #L1487, .35 Rem, 20 inch barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is the Marlin Model 336 SC Carbine manufactured in 1954 featuring the 2/3 magazine tube and slightly flared forearm. The barrel and frame retain about 75-80% of the original blue fading to brown on the barrel and carry points on the receiver with some scattered freckles overall. The stock and forearm are solid and retain about much of a later added varnish with scattered mild contusions use marks. It is sighted with the original flip up rear and hooded bead front sight and has a see through scope mount with a Tasco Pronghorn 4 power scope with cross-hair reticle and clear optics. The action functions smoothly on this JM marked Marlin and is equipped with a hammer extension and has sling swivel mounts ready for a sling. A great 1950's vintage Model 336 SC. FFL or C&R
