Offered here is a superb FN Herstal Belgium Browning B25 C1 Grade 12 Gauge, hand-built in 1975 with classic 27.5" barrels choked Improved Cylinder and Improved Modified. This hand-finished example of the legendary Superposed line features the desirable Broadway rib with a white front bead, and is built on a boxlock action with a single selective trigger and ejectors.
The action is finely engraved in the traditional Bruges (C1) rose and scroll pattern by A. Cusset—an FN master engraver. The C1 grade is very rarely signed by the engraver.. Detailed acanthus engraving flows onto the barrel wings and fences, flanked by English-style bouquets on either side of the receiver with scroll surrounding. The barrels retain 99% of their original blued finish. Bores are bright and clean, the action locks up tight, and the trigger breaks with precision.
Dressed in exhibition-grade walnut, the stock and forend display rich dark figure with sharp checkering. LOP measures 14.5" to the original Browning buttplate. Light handling marks are present, consistent with careful use.
