32639-AMERICAN IMPORT WAR OF 1812 LIGHT CAVALRY SWORD CIRCA 1800-10. 38” o/a with 33” blade. No maker stamp on ricasso Light traces of gilt etching with most of blade a dark patina. Original lightly worn leather grip wrap and partial original wire. Of British Pattern 1796 type very popular during the period and used by various American Militia Cavalry and dragoon regiments. Many made in Germany and England. $650.
