32661- INDIAN WARS SPRINGFIELD U.S. MODEL 1879 TRAPDOOR .45-70 CARBINE. All original serial numbered in the 120,xxx range. Nice looking original patina mixed with original blue. Stock with lightly worn original finish and visible cartouche. Original Springfield Buffington rear sight. Butt plate with trap door compartment containing the original sectional cleaning rod. Nice markings with lock stamped “U.S./SPRINGFIELD/1873” and with “FEDERAL EAGLE” stamp as well. Working order and excellent bore. $2200.
