32770- CIVIL WAR REMINGTON-MAYNARD TAPE PRIMER PERCUSSION CONVERSION U.S. MODEL 1816 RIFLED-MUSKET CIRCA 1857. 42” rifled .69 caliber barrel with Long Range rear sight and post and band front. Lock plate stamped ‘REMINGTON’S/ILION, N.Y./1857”. Excellent all original and matching with two Ordnance inspector’s cartouches on side panel. Has nice original deep grey metal patina with crisp markings. Stock with the original finish. Lock in working order and extra nice bore. Scarce with Long Range rear sight and rifled. Most observed are smoothbore. Nice example. $2950.
