32371 CIVIL WAR REMINGTON U.S. MODEL 1863 PERCUSSION RIFLE MUSKET DATED 1865. Rifled .58 cal. 40” barrel. Lock stamped “EAGLE/U.S.” and “REMINGTON’S/ILION, N.Y.”. A heavily used with rear sight missing. Stock sound with the original finish and visible Ordnance cartouches on side panel. Bark patina on metal. Lock in working order with good nipple. Dark bore. Hammer screw replaced. Original and scarce Remington contract. $1350.
