Description:
Incredible Wild West Saloon Madam's “Lady of the Night” Cased Pearl Handled Engraved Hopkins & Allen Blue Jacket No. 1 Pocket Revolver & Dagger with Accessories, .22 Cal, mfg. circa 1870's. This is the nicest authentic Wild West ladies' set I have seen. The velvet bound and lined shield case measures approximately 9 ¼" x 5 7/8" x 2 ½" equipped with sculpted engraved brass furniture and nameplate marked “ANNA ROSA”. The contents are perfectly fitted and the box shows appropriate wear overall yet remains intact and in great condition for it's age. Contained within the box are the engraved nickel plated revolver fitted with pearl grips, an engraved silver mounted dagger with checkered pearl handle, silver plated engraved brass rouge compact with pearl top, glass perfume bottle, and silk garter with red rose secured under the lid by two pearl pins. The pistol is factory engraved with floral designs and retains approximately 80% original nickel finish. Original pearl grips fit perfect and show moderate wear with a small chip at the left bottom corner and tiny nicks & chips along some edges. Original hammer, spur trigger, cylinder pin, and blade front sight with excellent markings. Action cocks and cycles crisply but cylinder requires assistance to fully lock up each time. Bore shows fair rifling worn at the muzzle with moderate blackpowder frosting throughout. The dagger measures 7 1/8" long overall with 3 ½" double edged blade. Silver ball guard with engraved band and beautiful checkered pearl handle with no chips or cracks. Rouge compact features a mirror inside and perfume bottle has a flip-open brass lid. A super rare and attractive piece of Wild West history ready for display! Jeremiah Johnson Trading sells antique arms manufactured prior to 1899 and muzzleloading blackpowder reproductions only.
