The Ruger P85 was originally introduced in 1987. It was Ruger's first production in the full-size semi-auto pistol arena. This is a robust, full-size (4.5" bbl) steel slide pistol with a thumb safety, decocker and a SA/DA (Single -action/double-action) trigger system. The safety and decocker is ambidextrous. The frame is aluminum alloy, while the slide is steel. This is a solid, balanced and beefy pistol. The P85 had a reputation for being rugged, dependable and durable.
