I suppose now was a good time to get rid of the original parts that came off of the WINCHESTER 1894 serial number 15147. when I purchased it, the only original parts left on it were the receiver the Swiss, buttplate the grip cap the forend cap fit the Ballard barrel.I still have the original Swiss butt plate because it was destroyed trying to nickel plate it. It looks like they dropped in a bucket of acid. I did contact Mike Hunter on this gun. I was trying to figure out how thick and extra wide barrel was for the restoration. being the original owner, I have much more information on this rifle.
