This is a gun ready to go back to Africa for another big game hunt! I have had this gun since 1996 and have LOVED every minute I have spent with it. I have carried it on multiple safaris and it has been deadly on multiple Cape buffaloes and my one elephant, taken w one frontal brain shot at 18 meters. The 450/400 3 in. Caliber is outstanding for buffalo, 400 gr. Woodleigh soft points at 2050 fps. ,it really "thumps 'em"!! The recoil in this caliber is very manageable with the hand loads I have worked up. The gun has had the springs replaced, by J.J. Perodeau at Champlan firearms in OK. And fitted a Doctor red dot sight to the rib, which is the best thing I could have done to make the gun perfect,

The gun is seriously a working gun, not a "Safe Queen", but is absolutely 100% dependable. The hunt, on foot, carrying a double rifle for Buffalo,cannot be equaled. This gun will open the door to many life changing hunts and forever memories. I'm selling it because of age and disability making it impossible for me to continue.
