The Walther Creed is a budget-friendly, full-size 9mm polymer-framed pistol, introduced in 2017 as the successor to the PPX model. It features a double-stack magazine and a unique bobbed hammer design, which acts as a cocking indicator. The hammer remains inside the slide when uncocked and becomes visible when the gun is loaded. The Creed uses a Browning-Petter-SIG locking system and comes with a pre-cocked double-action trigger, offering a relatively light pull compared to traditional double-action triggers. However, the downside is that if a round fails to fire, the trigger won‚t reset, requiring a manual slide rack to reset the mechanism. The Walther Creed‚s barrel assembly consists of three parts: the barrel and chamber, a MIM-manufactured locking block, and a polished feed ramp. The pistol is easy to disassemble, utilizing a triangular take-down lever for quick field-stripping. The 3-dot steel sights provide good target acquisition, though they are not height adjustable. Other notable features include a reversible magazine release and ergonomic controls, making the Creed practical for both right and left-handed shooters.
