"Serial No. Bf1953, manufactured in 1953, chambered in 7.62x54R with a 20 ½" round barrel. Bore is good overall, exhibiting light frosting and oxidation within the grooves, with strong rifling still present. Serial numbers are non-matching. Import mark is visible under the barrel. The stock shows typical handling and storage marks. Action cycles smoothly and functions properly. A representative example of a Cold War-period Hungarian M44 carbine.
