Walther. Berlin Luebecker G41 1943 WWII late war semi auto rifle. Cal 8mm. Excellent bright bore, this Investment Grade duv 43 made at Berlin Luebecker was the last year of production of the G41 before they were turned fully over to G43 production. This is why it has no scope rails and has some late features like the un-numbers muzzle gland ( which is correct , per Weavers book). The G41 model used a mechanism known as the "Bang" system (after its Danish designer Søren H. Bang). In this system, propellant gases were captured by a cone-shaped gas trap at the muzzle, which in turn deflected them to operate a small piston which in turn pushed on a long piston rod that opened the breech and re-loaded the gun. This rifle is serial numbered 8411G throughout. There are perfect Waffenampts in the stock. The stock is numbered to the rifle. This is an extremely attractive rifle with the original and matching blonde laminate stock. All parts on this rifle are matching to include: receiver, bolt carrier, bolt housing, muzzle gas cap (un-numbered, Front sight assembly, magazine, trigger floor plate, stock, bolt body, extractor, firing pin housing and both locking lugs- all are correct. Please note, the extractor and both locking lugs are numbered to the rifle, but the numbers are very faint and you will need to look at them in good lighting to be able to see them. The trigger functions are all normal and the safety is fully operable. The gas system is all complete and intact. Sight cover and cleaning rod are intact. All Waffenampts are present throughout this piece. This is quite possibly the nicest G41 in private hands and is a high condition collector/investment rifle.
