32766- CIVIL WAR CONFEDERATE CSA TOWER ENFIELD PATTERN 1853 P1853 P53 .577 CAL. RIFLE MUSKET DATED 1862. 39” barrel with original front and rear sights and British export proofs at left breech. All original and matching including the ramrod. Lock stamped “1862/TOWER”. Stock stamped with Birmingham Small Arms circular cartouche on right butt. Dark metal with moderate war use. Excellent stock with the original finish and nice dark handling patina. Lock in working order. Dark bore. From an old Southern Maryland collection. Nice looking and all original. $1700.
