32713-THOMAS TYRER, RICHMOND, VIRGINIA CIVIL WAR PERCUSSION DAMASCUS 16 GA. SIDE X SIDE SHOTGUN CIRCA 1850’S. 48” o/a with 32” Damascus gold banded barrels signed in ornate floral gold inlay on center rib “RICHMOND”. Ornately engraved mounts and locks with the later signed “THOS. TYRER”. Checkered tiger maple stock with silver forend cap and silver cap compartment on belly of stock. Original wood rod. Very good overall and all original with the original finish on barrels and locks and stock. Thomas Tyrer worked at 60 Main St. in Richmond from 1852-1884. $1100.
