Mr. Haugh was a greatly esteemed master gunmaker in the contemporary muzzleloading arena producing outstanding early American and English style percussion and flintlock guns with his own hand built locks and double set triggers. He was also highly respected in the modern custom rifle arena. He was a founding member of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild. He was a true Renaisance Man who could do it all; stockmaking, metalsmithing, engraving, color case hardening, and blueing / browning. Sadly Mr. Haugh passed in 2018 but not before passing his many talents to his two sons Frank & Cole. They continue to operate J. T. Haugh & Son's in Milan. Haugh guns are infrequently seen on the market because they are so highly prized by their owners. This outstanding gun remains in nearly new condition with a single small safe ding.
