Description:
For sale is a Colt M1911A1 delivered on July 24, 1942 to US Navy Supply Depot in Oakland, CA. Pistol has matching numbered slide and receiver. Correct Colt G marked barrel and checkered small parts. Internal wear patterns indicate that the barrel may be original to the pistol. Flaming bomb emblem and G stamped on receiver near disconnector hole (correct for 1942 Colt S/N 751000-802000 per Clawson Collector’s Guide, Pg. 93)
Original parkerized finish showing some patina when viewed under bright light. Barrel has light frosting between grooves. Coltwood grips with hollow back and mold numbers. High edge wear consistent with holstering in M1916 style holster. It comes with one commercial/military Colt magazine with markings on the base and was sand blasted to match the dull finish of the pistol. Overall finish and mechanical condition are in very good shape.
