Overview:
The Winchester Model 70 is the benchmark by which all other bolt-action rifles are compared. This classic model is chambered for the powerful flat-shooting 280 Rem cartridge. A great cartridge rare in the Model 70. This is a no non-sense qualtity rifle to hunt in any extreme weather condition. A 3-position safety allows the shooter to load or unload the Model 70 with the safety engaged in the mid position. The bolt is locked down with the safety fully to the rear, where it is extremely unlikely to accidentally get knocked to the fire position when carrying the rifle in rugged terrain. The Winchester Model 70 is an outstanding choice for the avid hunters who also appreciate classic style. Manufactured in New Haven Connecticut in 1982.
Condition:
This gun is in excellent condition. The metal is excellent with deep bluing in 98+ % condition. The black synthetic furniture is in excellent condition and has a couple of small handling marks and rates at 98%. The engraved floorplate is in excellent condition. The gun comes with a full Weaver scope rail.
