This is a .56 Caliber paper cartridge for the Sharps sporting rifle. This is from a large collection that followed A Handbook of Civil War Bullets & Cartridges by Thomas and Thomas. Identified as similar to #120 & 121 - .56 caliber with the attached paper cartridge. The live round remains in excellent condition. And comes in a small display case.
