Winchester Model 1873 Short Rifle English Proofs 38-40 cal, Bore Exc minty, Mech Exc , Wood Exc has special order shotgun butt. Has a 20” Rd Barrel with full mag, original sights and exc Winchester address,patent date markings and 38 cal marking. Also has 2 English Proof mkgs. The receiver has one English proof mkg and a original dust cover and Model 1873 marking on the top tang and the lower tang has the serial#97883 Mfg’d 1882 . 2nd models ended at 90,000 and 3rd models started . The brass carrier has an excellent 38 cal marking and the hammer and lever have case colors. Metal has sharp edges showing no wear and screw heads are excellent. Metal overall has 95% blue finish. The rifle has no wear and is like new condition overall. Letters correct from Cody Records.
