Like the ad states, "CS" Confederate States of America Stamped Leather Canteen. Believed to be real but no documentation. Marked Selma Arsenal 1862 and inscibed 14th Miss. INF 1863. I have been told Real and I have been told Fake. Don't know who to believe. I have only seen 4 of these for sale. 2 where on WORTHPOINT and 2 where on Live The last 1 on Live went for 2200.00 If it was Fake you would see a hell of alot more than 4! Either way it would be a great addition to anyone's display. It has hung on the side of my WWI "MCCellan" saddle for 20 yrs. If interested simply give me a call. Will listen to a reasonable offer.
