Description:
Interesting mid-nineteenth century Charleville style flintlock musket, about 3/4 scale. Belgian with pre-1893 proof marks. It has a 32" .52 barrel with pitted bore that should scrub to much better. Finish is dull bright with some patina splotching. The stock is made of two pieces, with connection under middle barrel band. At first thought this was a "dufflebag cut", but then I located another example with same setup. The lock is very well made. LOP is 11.5". Musket weighs about 4.4 lbs. A great collectable or training flintlock for a child. A scarce and interesting piece. $1200 + Shipping.
