Springfield Armory M1 Garand, caliber .30-06, postwar production, with a new gray laminate stock. This rifle is in excellent used condition
The serial number 5438809 dates to 1955. Marked parts on the gun are Springfield and Winchester, details are below. Metal condition is great, with just a few scratches and no signs of pitting anywhere. The barrel is Springfield, dated 1967, it measures 1 1/2 at the muzzle and 2 1/2 at the throat. The bore is bright and shiny. The commercial laminate stock shows no signs of use.
A reproduction canvas sling is included, along with two M1 clips (no ammo) and a manual.
Rifle has been tested and works perfectly.
SPECS:
Receiver: Springfield, serial number 5438809, made about 1955. Marked F 6528291. Some finish wear on the legs, a few light scratches, no pitting.
Barrel: Springfield, marked SA 2-67. Bore is bright, sharp riflings. Muzzle Erosion =1 1/2, Throat Erosion=2 1/2. There is an import mark on the barrel, Springfield Sporters of Penn Run, PA.
Bolt: Springfield, marked 6528287-SA AI6
Op Rod: Winchester, marked D35382 W.RA.
Trigger Housing: Springfield, marked 3523290-SA
Stock: Commercial, new condition, gray laminate. with reproduction canvas sling
