Description:
Here is an interesting forerunner of the Mauser 98. This finely designed and crafted GEW 88 rifled features an octagon barrel and fine engraving on the receiver, magazine area and detail parts. Additional features include double set triggers, and stripper clip loading. The stock features round knob, raised cheekpiece, sling swivels, Schnabel fore end and curved steel butt plate. Truly an extraordinary rifle in the early development of bolt actions.
