For your consideration, the Oviedo M93 "Spanish Mauser" chambered in 7x57mm Mauser. Made in Spain based on the Gewehr 1898, this model was manufactured in 1923. It differs from the Gewehr 98 in a few ways, notably the cock on close action more similar to the Enfield. This one has clearly been Sporterized, only the barrel and reciever serials match.
