Description:
The Mossberg Model 42B was one of many .22 Cal target rifles made popular by early 1900's marksmanship clubs. This example is in fair overall condition, as practically all of the finish has been removed in an attempt to re finish the firearm. Due to the removal of the finish on the steel parts, a fine film of corrosion has started to spread across many areas, this is mostly superficial. Also of note, the barrel rear sight is missing its elevation screw and the peep sight is missing its aperture. The bore, however, is in nearly perfect condition.
