THIS WINCHESTER 1885 SPECIAL SPORTING RIFLE IN .45 ELEY REMAINS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. THERE WERE ONLY AROUND 50 RIFLES PRODUCED IN THIS CALIBER. THIS RIIFLE IS BRITISH PROOFED. THIS A FLAT SIDE RECEIVER VARIATION. THE BORE ON THIS EXAMPLE IS EXCELLENT, BRIGHT AND SHINEY WITH STRONG RIFLING. THERE IS PROBABLY 85% BLUE REMAINING, THE CASE COLORS HAVE FADED QUITE A BIT, BUT ARE STILL SOMEWHAT VISABLE, THERE IS SOME MILD FRECKLING PRESENT THERE. THE WOOD RETSINS MOST OF ITS ORIGINAL FINISH, BIT DOES HAVE SOME WEATHERING PRESENT.
