Needham “Challenger” 12-Gauge Boxlock Ejector – Cyril Adams Collection – 32” Barrels – Fine Rose & Scroll – London Reproofed – Serial No. 13674
A rare and elegant English boxlock ejector from the esteemed Needham firm, this “Challenger” model exemplifies traditional craftsmanship and balance. Originally sourced from the personal collection of legendary shotgun expert Cyril Adams, this shotgun is an outstanding example of classic British gunmaking.
This 12-gauge features 32” chopper-lump barrels topped with a solid concave matted rib and reproofed at the London Proof House for modern 2 ¾” cartridges. The action is finished in deep, vibrant color case hardening and adorned with fine English rose and scroll engraving throughout, including the fences. The right-side action bears the “Challenger” designation, indicating a higher-tier finish within the Needham line.
The trigger setup includes classic double triggers and automatic ejectors. The English straight-hand stock is beautifully figured and finished with a hand-rubbed oil polish. Checkering is executed in fine traditional flat-top fleur-de-lis pattern, and the butt is capped with a traditional leather-covered recoil pad.
